Lo abordamos en este art\u00edculo<\/a> que revisamos hoy, en el que se analizan tres tipos de retenedores: Ortho FlexTech, Gold\u2019n Braces y Blu-Elgiloy, que encuentra un claro vencedor, demostrando la importancia del an\u00e1lisis de los materiales que usamos en cl\u00ednica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Importante: la capacidad de retenci\u00f3n de los tres materiales de retenci\u00f3n es indirecta. Los dientes se mantienen estables \u201cpor igual\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lo que var\u00eda sustancialmente es la supervivencia del retenedor en boca, que es mayor en el caso de Ortho FlexTech.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como comentamos recientemente en nuestro libro de retenci\u00f3n en ortodoncia<\/a>, la retenci\u00f3n fija es causa de insatisfacci\u00f3n en nuestros pacientes, fundamentalmente por este motivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Y aunque el estudio se haya realizado en un \u00fanico lugar de trabajo, lo que produce un sesgo como cualquier otro tipo de an\u00e1lisis, realmente nos refuerza que \u201cno todos los materiales son iguales\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claro que la t\u00e9cnica es importante. Pero si cuanto m\u00e1s experimentado es el t\u00e9cnico, mejores resultados obtiene, tambi\u00e9n debemos afrontar que cuanto mejor es la tecnolog\u00eda que empleamos, mayor estabilidad tendr\u00e1 nuestro protocolo de retenci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por otro lado, recordemos siempre que la retenci\u00f3n removible es la id\u00f3nea porque mantiene la forma de arcada y controla segmentos posteriores, siendo pocas las ventajas en favor de la fija, por lo que deber\u00edamos siempre recurrir a retenedores removibles y que la fija sea un \u201cextra\u201d en nuestros protocolos.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
